Hispanic Festival, Inc. of Greater St. Louis presented “Fiesta in Florissant” at the Knights of Columbus Park. The two-day celebration featured mouth watering cuisine and non-stop entertainment. We saw Folkloric dancers and live Latino Bands from various countries including Panama, Colombia, and Mexico along with local and regional Latino bands. There was also salsa, merengue, bachata, flamenco, to entertain the crowd and finally of course the Quinceañera. The Quinceañera is the Hispanic tradition of celebrating a young girl's coming of age at her 15th birthday. This celebration embrace religious customs, and the virtues of family and social responsibility.
